Description
Uses of AGINAL-AT Tablet
AGINAL-AT Tablet is generally prescribed for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart (angina). It contains Amlodipine and Atenolol, which work together to relax blood vessels, reduce heart workload, and improve blood flow. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that widens blood vessels, while Atenolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure. This combination helps prevent complications like heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure in patients with cardiovascular risks.
Possible Side Effects
While AGINAL-AT is effective, some people may experience side effects. Common ones include dizziness, tiredness, headache, slow heartbeat, flushing, swelling of ankles or feet, nausea, or stomach discomfort. In some cases, it may cause low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, mood changes, or cold hands and feet. Rare but serious effects include irregular heartbeat, severe allergic reactions, or chest pain worsening after starting the medicine.
