Description
Uses of Amrox-LS Syrup
Amrox-LS Syrup is a combination cough syrup that typically contains Ambroxol (mucolytic), Levosalbutamol/Levalbuterol (bronchodilator), and Guaifenesin (expectorant). It is used to treat productive cough associated with respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and common cold. The syrup works by thinning and loosening mucus in the airways, relaxing the airway muscles, and making it easier to expel phlegm, thereby improving breathing and relieving cough.
Side Effects of Amrox-LS Syrup
When used as directed, side effects are usually mild and temporary. Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, and sore throat. Some individuals may experience palpitations, tremors, or nervousness due to the bronchodilator component. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing may occur. Overdose or prolonged use can increase the risk of side effects like irregular heartbeat or low potassium levels. People with heart disease, high blood pressure, or thyroid disorders should use it under medical supervision.
