Description

Austro Lab Austro Clavulanate 125 is an antibiotic medication that typically contains:

• Amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic)

• Clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor)

This combination is used to treat bacterial infections by preventing bacteria from destroying the antibiotic (due to clavulanic acid) and effectively killing the bacteria (due to amoxicillin).

It is prescribed for bacterial infections such as:

1. Respiratory tract infections – sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia

2. Ear, nose, and throat infections – otitis media, tonsillitis

3. Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

4. Skin and soft tissue infections – cellulitis, abscesses

5. Bone and joint infections – osteomyelitis

6. Dental infections – tooth abscesses

7. Infections of the gastrointestinal tract caused by susceptible bacteria.

SIDE EFFECTS of Austro Clavulanate 125

Like all antibiotics, it can cause side effects, including:
Common side effects:

• Diarrhea

• Nausea or vomiting

• Stomach pain or indigestion

• Mild skin rash

• Headache or dizziness

Serious side effects (rare):

• Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face/lips, difficulty breathing)

• Severe diarrhea (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea)

• Yellowing of skin/eyes (liver issues)

• Unusual bleeding or bruising

• Severe skin rash or blistering (Stevens-Johnson syndrome – very rare)
