Azikem 500 contains Azithromycin, an antibiotic from the macrolide group. It is mainly prescribed to treat bacterial infections by stopping the growth of bacteria. Common conditions it treats include respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), throat and tonsil infections, ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia. It may also be used for some gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria. Azikem 500 is generally taken once daily, with or without food, as directed by a doctor. It is important to complete the full prescribed course to prevent recurrence or antibiotic resistance.

Side Effects of Azikem 500 Tablet
While generally well tolerated, Azikem 500 can cause some side effects. Common ones include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and headache.
