Bilastine 20 mg is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions. It helps reduce sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy or watery eyes caused by allergic rhinitis (seasonal or perennial). It is also effective in treating urticaria (hives), which causes itching and redness of the skin. Bilastine works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical responsible for allergy symptoms. It provides 24-hour relief with a single daily dose and generally causes less drowsiness compared to older antihistamines.

Side Effects:
Bilastine is usually well tolerated, but some people may experience mild side effects. Common ones include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, abdominal pain, or fatigue. Less commonly, it may cause nausea, dry mouth, or palpitations. Severe allergic reactions to bilastine are rare, but if you notice swelling of the face, difficulty breathing, or severe rash, seek medical help immediately. Caution is advised in people with kidney problems, heart rhythm disorders, or those taking certain medicines.
