Uses of Cefaprime 500 Tablet
Cefaprime 500 Tablet contains Cefadroxil, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections by stopping the growth of bacteria. Common conditions treated include respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, throat infections such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis, and certain ear infections (otitis media). It may also be prescribed in dental infections or post-surgical infections when caused by susceptible bacteria.

Side Effects of Cefaprime 500 Tablet
When taken as prescribed, most side effects are mild and temporary. Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and indigestion. Some individuals may experience headache, dizziness, or skin rashes. Rarely, allergic reactions such as itching, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing can occur. Prolonged use may lead to secondary infections like oral thrush or vaginal yeast infection. In uncommon cases, it may cause changes in blood counts or liver enzyme levels. Medical advice should be sought if any severe or persistent side effects develop.
