Description

Chymomerg-D Tablet is a combination medicine that generally contains Trypsin–Chymotrypsin (a proteolytic enzyme) and Diclofenac (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug – NSAID). This combination is used to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and promote faster healing of tissues after injuries or surgical procedures.

• Trypsin–Chymotrypsin helps break down proteins at the site of inflammation, reduces swelling (edema), and accelerates tissue repair.

• Diclofenac works by blocking prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation.

Uses:

• Management of pain, swelling, and inflammation after trauma, surgery, or dental procedures

• Treatment of musculoskeletal pain due to sprains, strains, or sports injuries

• Relief in joint pain and stiffness associated with arthritis and spondylitis

• Faster recovery in soft tissue injuries and post-operative wound healing

• Reduction of swelling in ENT conditions like sinusitis or tonsillitis (as advised by doctor)

Side Effects:
Chymomerg-D may cause:

• Common: Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mild abdominal discomfort

• Occasional: Headache, dizziness, skin rash, acidity, bloating

• Rare but serious: Gastrointestinal bleeding, liver function disturbances, allergic reactions with swelling or breathing difficulty

Precautions:
Should be taken after meals to reduce gastric irritation. Avoid alcohol. Not suitable for patients with severe liver, kidney, stomach ulcers, or bleeding disorders. Use strictly under medical supervision.
