Description

Cipladine Ointment 10gm is a topical antiseptic used to prevent and treat skin infections in minor cuts, wounds, burns, abrasions, and surgical incisions. It contains Povidone-Iodine (5%), which is effective against a wide range of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. When applied to the skin, it releases iodine slowly, which helps kill germs and prevent infection.

Uses:

• First aid for minor wounds, cuts, burns, and scrapes

• Treatment of infected skin lesions

• Post-surgical wound care

• Skin ulcers and bedsores

• Prevention of infection in minor injuries

Side Effects:

Most side effects are mild and temporary. Common ones include:

• Skin irritation or redness at the application site

• Burning or stinging sensation

• Dryness or peeling of skin

Rare but serious side effects may include:

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Thyroid disturbances if used on large areas or for a prolonged period

• Delayed wound healing in sensitive individuals

Avoid using it on large open wounds for long periods unless advised by a doctor. Not recommended for individuals allergic to iodine. Always clean the affected area before applying the ointment and wash hands thoroughly after use.
