Description

Clobyte GM Gold Ointment is a combination medicine containing Clobetasol Propionate (a strong corticosteroid), Gentamicin (an antibiotic), and Miconazole (an antifungal). It is used externally on the skin under medical supervision.

Uses:

• Relief from skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis

• Treatment of fungal infections like ringworm, athlete’s foot, and candidiasis

• Management of bacterial skin infections due to gentamicin

• Reduces symptoms such as redness, itching, swelling, irritation, and inflammation

• Helps in mixed skin infections (fungal + bacterial + inflammatory)

Side Effects:
Although effective, prolonged or unsupervised use may cause:

• Burning, itching, or irritation at the site of application

• Dryness, skin thinning (atrophy), or stretch marks

• Acne-like eruptions or excessive hair growth in the treated area

• Change in skin color or delayed wound healing

• Secondary infections if used for a long duration

• Rarely, absorption of corticosteroid can cause systemic side effects like hormonal imbalance (especially if applied over large areas or under bandages)

This ointment should only be applied in the recommended dose and duration prescribed by a doctor. It is not suitable for use on the face, groin, or underarms unless advised.
