Cipla Danfree 2% Shampoo (100ml) is a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole 2%, an antifungal agent. It is primarily used to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis by targeting the root cause—fungal infections on the scalp.

Uses:
Danfree shampoo is effective in treating dandruff, flaking, itching, and scalp irritation caused by Malassezia yeast. It helps reduce scaling, restores scalp health, and prevents recurrence of dandruff with regular use. It is also beneficial in treating conditions like seborrheic dermatitis and mild fungal infections of the scalp. The shampoo cleanses the scalp, controls oiliness, and soothes itching and redness.

Side Effects:
Most people tolerate Danfree shampoo well, but some may experience side effects such as scalp dryness, itching, irritation, or burning sensation at the application site. In rare cases, it may cause discoloration of hair or abnormal hair texture, especially in chemically treated or grey hair. Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. Overuse or prolonged use without medical supervision can lead to increased irritation.
