Description
Uses of Dapaford 10 Tablet
Dapaford 10 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin, an antidiabetic medicine belonging to the SGLT2 inhibitor class. It is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose from the blood through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. It also helps in reducing the risk of hospitalization for heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease. In some cases, it may be prescribed for chronic kidney disease and heart failure with reduced ejection fraction to improve outcomes. Along with controlling blood sugar, it may aid in modest weight loss and help lower blood pressure.
Side Effects of Dapaford 10 Tablet
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Common side effects include urinary tract infections, increased urination, genital yeast infections, thirst, and mild dehydration. Some individuals may experience dizziness, especially when standing up quickly, due to lowered blood pressure. Rarely, it can cause ketoacidosis (excess ketones in the blood), which may present with nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and confusion, requiring urgent medical care. Infections of the genital area may occur more frequently, especially in uncircumcised males and females. People with kidney problems, dehydration, or low blood pressure should use it with caution and under medical supervision.
