Description
Uses
Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg is a combination medicine used to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever. It is effective in conditions such as muscle pain, backache, joint pain, dental pain, headaches, mild migraine, menstrual cramps, sprains, sports injuries, and post-operative pain. In chronic conditions, it helps manage pain and swelling in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Paracetamol works mainly as an analgesic and antipyretic, while diclofenac reduces inflammation and swelling, giving faster and more complete relief.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, bloating, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, skin rash, and loss of appetite. Less common effects can include elevated liver enzymes, dry mouth, and altered taste. Diclofenac, being a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), may cause serious side effects in rare cases, such as stomach or intestinal bleeding, ulcers, high blood pressure, kidney problems, and heart-related risks like heart attack or strokeβespecially with long-term or high-dose use. Paracetamol, if taken in excess, can damage the liver.
Note
This medicine should be taken only under medical supervision, preferably with food to reduce stomach irritation, and for the shortest possible duration needed to control symptoms. People with heart, liver, kidney, or stomach problems should use it cautiously.
