Description
Uses:
Gemsoline 15 Capsule contains pioglitazone, an antidiabetic medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood sugar levels by improving the bodyβs sensitivity to insulin, allowing better glucose utilization. It is typically prescribed when diet, exercise, and other oral diabetes medications fail to provide adequate glycemic control. Pioglitazone can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs such as metformin or sulfonylureas. Proper blood sugar management reduces the risk of kidney damage, nerve issues, vision loss, and cardiovascular complications related to diabetes.
Side Effects:
Common side effects of Gemsoline 15 include weight gain, fluid retention (edema), and headache. Some users may experience muscle pain or respiratory infections like cold or sore throat. Rare but serious side effects include heart failure (due to fluid buildup), bladder cancer (long-term use), and liver problems. Women may also have an increased risk of bone fractures. Regular monitoring of liver function, heart health, and bladder symptoms is advised during long-term use. This medicine is not recommended in patients with active liver disease or heart failure. Always consult your doctor before starting or stopping this medication. Do not use it to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
