Hem Glimp-MP1 Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to control high blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is a combination of Glimepiride, Metformin, and Pioglitazone.

• Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.

• Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

• Pioglitazone enhances the body’s response to insulin, helping cells absorb glucose better.

Uses:

• Management of Type 2 Diabetes when diet, exercise, and single-drug therapy are insufficient.

• Helps prevent diabetes-related complications like kidney damage, eye problems, nerve damage, and heart issues.

Common Side Effects:

• Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) – dizziness, sweating, shakiness, hunger.

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort.

• Weight gain and mild swelling (edema).

• Headache, fatigue, muscle pain.

Serious but rare side effects:

• Severe hypoglycemia leading to confusion or fainting.

• Liver problems (yellowing of skin/eyes, dark urine).

• Heart failure symptoms like shortness of breath or rapid weight gain.
