Description
Hem Glimp-MP1 Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to control high blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is a combination of Glimepiride, Metformin, and Pioglitazone.
Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.
Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.
Pioglitazone enhances the bodyβs response to insulin, helping cells absorb glucose better.
Uses:
Management of Type 2 Diabetes when diet, exercise, and single-drug therapy are insufficient.
Helps prevent diabetes-related complications like kidney damage, eye problems, nerve damage, and heart issues.
Common Side Effects:
Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) β dizziness, sweating, shakiness, hunger.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort.
Weight gain and mild swelling (edema).
Headache, fatigue, muscle pain.
Serious but rare side effects:
Severe hypoglycemia leading to confusion or fainting.
Liver problems (yellowing of skin/eyes, dark urine).
Heart failure symptoms like shortness of breath or rapid weight gain.
