Description
Uses:
Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops are commonly prescribed to treat bacterial ear infections, especially in the outer ear (otitis externa). The drops usually contain a combination of an antibiotic (such as gentamicin), a corticosteroid (like betamethasone), and possibly antifungal or antiseptic agents. The antibiotic helps kill infection-causing bacteria, while the corticosteroid reduces swelling, redness, and itching. Glybiotic Plus is effective in relieving symptoms such as ear pain, discharge, inflammation, and itching caused by ear infections or allergies. It may also be used after ear surgery to prevent infections and support healing.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include temporary burning, stinging, or irritation at the application site. Some individuals may experience itching or redness in or around the ear. Prolonged or excessive use can lead to thinning of the skin in the ear canal or secondary fungal infections. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing may occur. If any severe reaction develops, medical attention is needed immediately. Avoid use if you have a perforated eardrum unless directed by a doctor. Always use the drops exactly as prescribed to avoid complications or resistance.
