HIPRES 50 Tablet contains Atenolol (50 mg), which is a beta-blocker used primarily to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart-related conditions. It works by slowing down the heart rate and reducing the workload on the heart, thereby lowering blood pressure and helping prevent heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. It is also used in the treatment of angina (chest pain), arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat), and sometimes to prevent migraines.

Side Effects:

Common side effects include fatigue, cold hands and feet, dizziness, slow heart rate, and sleep disturbances. Some people may experience shortness of breath or gastrointestinal issues like nausea or diarrhea.

Less common but serious effects include worsening of asthma or breathing difficulties, severe bradycardia (very slow heart rate), and depressive symptoms. Sudden stopping of the medicine can worsen heart conditions, so it should be tapered off under a doctor’s guidance.
