Description

INTAS INTACOXIA 90 Tablet contains Etoricoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor used mainly for pain relief and inflammation reduction. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and post-surgical pain. By blocking COX-2 enzymes, it reduces the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling, and stiffness, thus improving mobility and comfort. It may also be used in certain dental or musculoskeletal pain cases.

Common side effects include dizziness, headache, heartburn, indigestion, abdominal pain, and nausea. Some people may experience swelling in the legs, fatigue, or increased blood pressure. Serious side effects, though less common, can include allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), liver problems (yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine), kidney issues (reduced urination, swelling), and cardiovascular risks like heart attack or stroke, especially with long-term or high-dose use. Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration may occur in rare cases, particularly in older patients or those with a history of stomach problems.

This medicine should be used cautiously in people with heart disease, high blood pressure, liver or kidney disorders, and should be avoided during pregnancy unless prescribed by a doctor. Long-term use without medical supervision is not recommended. Always follow the prescribed dosage.
