KT 5 DERM Ointment is a topical medication commonly used to treat fungal and inflammatory skin conditions. It typically contains a combination of ketoconazole (antifungal), clobetasol propionate (a potent corticosteroid), and other agents that may help reduce itching, redness, and swelling. This ointment is effective against skin issues like ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis caused by fungal infections.

The antifungal component (ketoconazole) stops the growth of fungi by disrupting their cell membranes. Clobetasol helps control inflammation and allergic reactions in the skin. Together, they provide quick relief from itching, scaling, redness, and discomfort.

Common side effects include skin irritation, burning sensation, redness, dryness, or itching at the application site.
