Description

Laboderm-OC Ointment is a topical medication used for treating various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and fungal or bacterial infections. It typically contains a combination of Ofloxacin (an antibiotic), Ornidazole (an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent), Itraconazole (an antifungal), and Clobetasol propionate (a potent corticosteroid). This combination helps relieve symptoms like redness, itching, inflammation, and infection caused by bacteria or fungi.

Uses:
Laboderm-OC is mainly used to treat mixed skin infections where bacterial, fungal, and inflammatory components are present. It is effective in treating conditions like ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and infected eczema. The corticosteroid component helps reduce swelling, itching, and irritation, while the antibiotics and antifungals clear up the infection.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include skin irritation, dryness, redness, burning sensation, or itching at the site of application. Prolonged use can lead to thinning of the skin, stretch marks, or skin discoloration. In rare cases, allergic reactions like rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing may occur. Overuse of topical steroids like clobetasol can also cause systemic side effects if absorbed through the skin. Always use under medical supervision and avoid applying on broken or sensitive skin.
