Description

Medicadent PST 100 g is a medicated dental paste formulated with Potassium Nitrate (5% w/w), Sodium Monofluorophosphate (0.7% w/w), and Triclosan (0.3% w/w). It is primarily used for the management of tooth sensitivity, prevention of dental caries, and control of gum infections.

Uses:

• Potassium Nitrate helps reduce tooth sensitivity by calming nerve responses in exposed dentin.

• Sodium Monofluorophosphate provides fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities.

• Triclosan acts as an antibacterial agent to reduce plaque formation, gingivitis, and bad breath.

• Regular use helps in long-term relief from sensitivity caused by cold, hot, sweet, or acidic foods.

• Supports overall oral hygiene and prevents progression of gum disease.

Side Effects (mostly rare and mild):

• Temporary gum or mouth irritation.

• Altered taste sensation.

• Mild burning or tingling sensation in the mouth.

• In rare cases, allergic reactions such as swelling, rash, or redness in the mouth.

• Excessive fluoride ingestion over time (if swallowed regularly) can cause dental fluorosis, especially in children.

Note: Intended for dental use only; not to be swallowed. Brush as directed by a dentist, usually 2–3 times daily, and avoid eating/drinking immediately after brushing for best results.
