Description

Uses:
Medisalic Ointment is a combination of Clobetasol Propionate (a potent corticosteroid) and Salicylic Acid (a keratolytic agent). It is used for the treatment of various skin conditions, such as:

• Psoriasis

• Eczema

• Dermatitis

• Lichen planus

• Thick, scaly patches of skin

The salicylic acid helps to soften and remove dead skin, allowing better penetration of the corticosteroid. Clobetasol reduces redness, itching, and inflammation.

Side Effects:

Common side effects:

• Burning or stinging sensation

• Dryness or peeling of the skin

• Itching or irritation at the application site

Less common but serious side effects (with long-term or excessive use):

• Skin thinning (atrophy)

• Stretch marks (striae)

• Discoloration of the skin

• Acne-like eruptions

• Increased hair growth

• Hormonal disturbances (if absorbed in large amounts)
