Minolast LC Tablet is an anti-allergic medicine that combines Montelukast (a leukotriene receptor antagonist) and Levocetirizine (a non-sedating antihistamine). This dual action helps in controlling allergy symptoms as well as improving breathing problems caused by allergic reactions.

• Montelukast works by blocking leukotrienes, substances responsible for airway inflammation, swelling, and narrowing.

• Levocetirizine reduces histamine activity, which helps relieve sneezing, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes.

Uses:

• Relief from symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and itchy eyes

• Management of chronic urticaria (hives) with itching and swelling

• Supportive treatment in asthma to prevent wheezing and breathing difficulty (not for acute asthma attacks)

• Control of seasonal and year-round allergies

• Reduces nighttime allergy-related discomfort, improving sleep quality

Side Effects:
Minolast LC is generally well tolerated but may cause:

• Common: Headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, abdominal pain, fatigue

• Occasional: Nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, sleep disturbances

• Rare but serious: Mood or behavior changes (especially in children), allergic skin reactions, palpitations

Precautions:
Take preferably in the evening as prescribed. Avoid alcohol as it may increase drowsiness. Not suitable for acute asthma attacks. Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems. Always take under medical supervision.
