Description

MT-Yes 16 Tablet is a combination medicine generally containing Mifepristone (200 mg) and Misoprostol (200 mcg), used for medical termination of early pregnancy (up to 9 weeks). Mifepristone works by blocking the hormone progesterone, which is necessary for pregnancy continuation, while Misoprostol causes uterine contractions to expel the pregnancy tissue.

Uses:

• Medical abortion in confirmed intrauterine pregnancy

• Sometimes used (in lower doses) for induction of labour in cases of fetal death

• Management of missed or incomplete miscarriage (as per doctor’s advice)

Side Effects (usually temporary but may need medical attention if severe):

• Common: Abdominal cramps, vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness, dizziness

• Moderate: Heavy or prolonged bleeding, fever, chills, headache

• Rare but Serious: Severe allergic reaction, very heavy bleeding requiring medical intervention, severe abdominal pain not relieved by painkillers, signs of infection (foul-smelling discharge, persistent fever)

Important Note: MT-Yes 16 should only be taken under a qualified doctor’s supervision after confirming pregnancy stage and location via ultrasound. It is not safe for ectopic pregnancy and should not be used without proper medical guidance and follow-up.
