Description

MT-YES 8 Tablet contains Mifepristone (200 mg) and Misoprostol (200 mcg), used together for medical termination of early pregnancy (up to 9 weeks or 63 days of gestation).

Uses:

• Termination of unwanted pregnancy without surgery

• Management of missed or incomplete abortion

• Induction of labor in certain medical conditions (if prescribed)

How it works:

• Mifepristone blocks the action of progesterone, a hormone essential for pregnancy continuation, causing detachment of the embryo.

• Misoprostol induces uterine contractions, helping expel pregnancy tissue.

Side Effects:

• Common: Abdominal cramps, vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, fatigue

• Moderate: Heavy or prolonged bleeding, pelvic pain, low-grade fever, chills

• Serious (seek medical help immediately): Severe abdominal pain, excessive bleeding (soaking >2 pads/hour for 2 hours), high fever, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, signs of infection or allergic reaction

This medicine should only be taken under medical supervision. Self-medication can be dangerous, as incomplete abortion or excessive bleeding may require urgent treatment. Women with certain health conditions like ectopic pregnancy, bleeding disorders, or chronic adrenal failure should avoid it.
