Description
Naproxiyes-D Tablet is a combination medicine that generally contains Naproxen (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug β NSAID) and Domperidone (an antiemetic). It is used mainly for the management of pain, inflammation, and associated nausea or vomiting. Naproxen works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever, while Domperidone helps prevent or relieve nausea and vomiting, especially when pain medicines upset the stomach.
Uses:
Relief from mild to moderate pain such as muscle pain, joint pain, toothache, menstrual cramps, and headaches
Treatment of inflammatory conditions like arthritis, spondylitis, or gout
Reduction of post-surgical or injury-related pain with nausea
Helps in conditions where painkillers may cause gastric discomfort
Side Effects:
Common: Stomach pain, indigestion, heartburn, nausea, dry mouth, headache, dizziness
Gastrointestinal: Risk of ulcers, gastritis, diarrhea, or constipation with prolonged use
Others: Sleepiness, rash, itching
Serious (rare): Gastrointestinal bleeding, severe allergic reactions, liver or kidney issues, abnormal heart rhythm (due to Domperidone)
It should be taken after meals to reduce stomach irritation and only under medical advice, especially in people with heart problems, kidney disease, or a history of ulcers.
