Description

OKACET-L Tablet is a combination of Levocetirizine (5 mg) and Montelukast (10 mg). It is primarily used to treat allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny or blocked nose, watery eyes), hay fever, seasonal allergies, and chronic urticaria (hives or skin rashes). Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks histamine, the chemical responsible for allergic symptoms, while Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces inflammation and nasal congestion.

Uses:

• Sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion

• Itchy or watery eyes

• Skin allergies like hives and itching

• Long-term allergic conditions such as asthma-related allergies

• Seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis

Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Common ones include:

• Drowsiness or sleepiness

• Headache

• Dry mouth

• Fatigue

• Abdominal pain or discomfort

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea

Less common but serious side effects may include mood changes, hallucinations, or behavioral disturbances, especially in children.
