Description

Pentate DSR Capsule is a combination medicine containing Pantoprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a prokinetic agent). It is used to treat acid-related stomach and esophagus problems, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acidity, heartburn, and stomach ulcers. Pantoprazole reduces excess stomach acid by blocking acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining, while Domperidone helps move food and acid quickly through the stomach, preventing reflux and nausea.

Uses:

• Treatment of GERD and acid reflux

• Relief from heartburn and persistent acidity

• Healing and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers

• Management of nausea and vomiting caused by acid reflux

• Prevention of acid-related damage in patients on NSAIDs

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain, flatulence

• Occasional: Dry mouth, constipation, rash, joint pain

• Rare but serious: Irregular heartbeat, severe allergic reaction, liver dysfunction, breast swelling or tenderness (due to Domperidone), low magnesium levels with long-term use

• Injection-site issues: Not applicable (oral capsule)

Pentate DSR should be taken before meals, usually in the morning, as advised by a doctor. Long-term or unnecessary use should be avoided, and patients with heart problems or severe liver disease should use it with caution.
