Uses of Pentate-IT Capsule
Pentate-IT Capsule is a combination medicine that generally contains Pantoprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Itopride (a prokinetic agent). It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acidity, heartburn, and acid-related disorders. It helps heal stomach and duodenal ulcers, prevents ulcer recurrence, and reduces regurgitation and bloating. Pantoprazole lowers excess stomach acid, while Itopride improves gastrointestinal motility and strengthens the lower esophageal sphincter, thereby preventing acid reflux. It is also useful in treating indigestion associated with delayed stomach emptying.

Side Effects of Pentate-IT Capsule
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Commonly reported ones include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, and flatulence. Some people may experience back pain, dry mouth, or rash. Rarely, allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or breathing difficulty can occur. Long-term or high-dose use may lead to vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, or increased fracture risk. Drowsiness can occur in some cases, so caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. If severe or persistent side effects appear, medical attention should be sought.
