Uses of Rabidoc-IT Capsule
Rabidoc-IT Capsule contains Rabeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Itopride (a prokinetic agent). It is mainly used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acidity, heartburn, and regurgitation. It helps in healing stomach and duodenal ulcers, and in preventing ulcer recurrence. By reducing excess stomach acid and improving gastrointestinal motility, it provides relief from symptoms like bloating, nausea, and a feeling of fullness after meals. It is also prescribed for conditions involving delayed stomach emptying and acid reflux due to weak lower esophageal sphincter function.
Side Effects of Rabidoc-IT Capsule
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Commonly reported ones include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence, and back pain. Some people may experience dry mouth, rash, or flu-like symptoms. Rarely, allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or breathing difficulty may occur. Long-term or high-dose use can lead to vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, or increased fracture risk. Drowsiness may occur in some cases, so caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. If any severe or persistent side effects occur, medical attention should be sought promptly.
