Uses:

Cipla Roko Capsule contains Loperamide, which is mainly used to treat diarrhea. It works by slowing down the movement of the intestines, allowing the body to absorb more water and electrolytes, thus making the stool less watery. Roko is helpful in treating acute (sudden) diarrhea due to infections, food reactions, or stress, and sometimes chronic diarrhea related to conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is also used to reduce the amount of stool passed in people who have undergone ileostomy (surgical opening of the intestine).

It gives fast relief from frequent loose motions, reduces the urgency to go to the toilet, and helps prevent dehydration and weakness due to fluid loss.

Side Effects:

While Roko is generally safe when used for short periods and in recommended doses, it may cause some side effects in a few people:

  • Constipation

  • Stomach pain or cramps

  • Nausea

  • Dizziness or drowsiness
